The Hongkong & Shanghai Bank, Hongkong, are prepared to substitute temporarily officers or men who have been discharged

from the Army on account of disabilities incurred on active

service, in order to release members of their staff at present

serving abroad who desire to proceed home to join the Colours.

The terms on which they contemplate offering appoint-

ments are as follows:-

1) For duration of war and one year after Treaty of Peace is

eigned.

2) Applicants to have had some previous business training and

be under 35 years of age and unmarried.

3) Candidates will be required to pass a medical examination by the Bank's doctor as to their fitness to reside in the Far East.

4) Salary £400 per annum from date of departure.

5) quarters, or allowance in lieu of quarters, provided.

6) The Bank to pay first-class passage out and home.

of £50 for outfit.
